at least in my opinion knowledge base is some kind of base that consist of storage and application and both of them use some specific knowledge representation schema

most of the data is stored in data base which use a specific knowledge representation schema to relate existing data...and in this way ... if there is data, relations and rules which enables reasoning...we can talk about knowledge... but...this data, relations... is not just concepts, characteristics or properties...each concept now has qualitative measures (if a can say like this)... each have not only name but also values - default and any possible value that is experienced in relation with viewed thing...

when there is not just concepts - it is necessary to name represented entity with all its characteristics ...OAV... for this most appropriate concept can be object:

1) it is widely used;

2) it can be used to describe artifacts, phenomena;

3) it has characteristics...and values;

it can be thing, reality, subject, place, organization.... everything that can be described...so every system...and systems vary a lot...

when chose the name object... this means name, attributes, values, functions,...

still need some data structure which includes not only object but also rules and connections that are related to this object - because knowledge this is something more than data about object...even if they are structurised in some way...

this is one of reasons why i choose frame :)

other reason is Structural Modelling approach - which use frame hierarchy to acquire and represent knowledge ...

so what i need is data base and software that use/share the same knowledge representation schema - in my case frames...

thinking rethinking

in the night had two parallel thoughts ... one about frames and other about loneliness...

1) was thinking why people chose to be lonely and do they chose... or it just happens?
or maybe there are both options like for everything... if it is a choice then probably it is made because they haven’t got what they have dreamed about... they has lack of something...mostly it is because of love...they have no one to who they can give their love...
so then they decide to be lonely ... to prove to themselves and to the world (where actually nobody cares it) that they are strong ....they work more, they reach goals ....but they have nobody to share with their achievement, joy, pain...this is sad ...and they become more isolated from others ...
This all i started to think just because was trying to find a reason why some of people share so much time, emotions in social networks ... maybe the expectations....
When you write or say to someone private you expect by default that will have a feedback... when it is written somewhere ...diary, facebook, etc... there even is no need for feedback... it can be and also not...but always it is assumed if there will not be comments it will not change anything... when you ask to someone and there is no reply... it is different...and it hurts...
so and just because we all need to share emotions we look for the most suitable, painless way - because nobody wants to be hurted ... and ...jaa the technologies bring the different ways to share with but at the same time everybody becomes more isolated and lonely....
before it was because of different knowledge, social levels now because of fear not to be on the same wavelength...of fear.... but must say that in most of the cases people don’t even think that they must risk...that there can be something else...
and they try to find similarities in social networks...because we fall in love in things which we like...which we do... if we like, love ourselves something and if we find someone does the same... we start to like that person... isn’t it so ?

2) Frames...why i like this idea and why it is so actual for me in knowledge representation...
Some time ago was thinking does Minsky chose this name for the data structure because of it’s meaning or it was coincidence? more believe to the first ... because every problem, idea, picture, everything has some borders...maybe misty, maybe clear...but has ... so when we choose concept object ... it includes some characteristics by default...name; attributes; functions....but if we look on some object we imagine it with some connections, some rules, in some context that is outside of the object definition (this is my point of view) by itself ... so to represent something we imagine...and frame is a structure which allows to describe everything what is needed for the situation, object in one place...if the object represents something one then frame represents set...

- of course this again is my understanding about that all - but each time i read something i like i get new impressions - even if i read the same paper -> each time get some additional details i havn`t seen before :)

the idea of frame is to represent something that by default sticks together - belongs to each other... frame inflicts constraints, some structure, some expectations...represents something that belongs to one image ...

therefore i like it ...to be clear you must know rules...this at least somehow allows to foresee holistic perspective...

the 1st september :)

beginning ?

in the 1st September was the anniversary - 10 years since the first year in university and 15 years since i started to learn in Imantas Latvian gymnasium...when you write it somewhere you see hmm it is some time past …also was thinking….when I was small child I wanted to be a teacher…after this all I will not be anything else :-) so one of my dreams will come true….and also I had a choice after gymnasium : computer science or psychologist….i decided computer science because other I needed just to put in order my thoughts – I chose the right way…I love what I do…and after all system analysts analyze systems … human is also system…so we need kind of psychology ….just we look on everything from a wider point of view ;) I don’t say something is better or worst just I feel comfortable where I am and I love what I do :-)

In the night was thinking on idea which I think and hardly believe somewhere is already realized…because many people try to analyze the texts (I mean in science)…

So if we take some text and search on most used words…we got graph…the links between nodes are generated using the sentences. Trivial words are not used or can be used to identify the close relationships (for example he - > john) …

So if we have 4 sentences…

House has 4 windows. House has 2 doors. Doors are in white color. House is located in Riga.

We got graph… where links are between all concepts which are used in the sentence and the strongest links can be between concepts which are closer to each other. This is from nothing special stories… :)

hehe now i can add to my list one more thing...great...water,fire, brutality, love did not kill me :) i will repeat... what doesn’t kill me makes me stronger...and indeed...the only thing i afraid is aomeone said...if you all the time feel bad after some time you even not realize that you feel bad...and there are things in my life i dont want to loose ...one of them is pure emotions :)

Complex? Jaa all life is complex system…which consists of simple elements that are connected with relationships that are linked with rules, but these relationships do not comply to rules time to time (why? I can wisper, but will not this time :) ) the same as we cant make an mathematical equation to all systems just because we miss something…and …if we use AND we can count everything, if we use OR we need to make another equation and to create a equation system to represent system as whole…but if we repeat one element in the system this is not right and we loose it, if we repeat more that twice, then we need to count how many times we repeat it…but this is too complex, and there must be another solution – more easy one …because for each problem there is more than one solution all the time…I am sure for this and I will find it!!!
